Sig Sauer
In 1853, Friedrich Peyer im Hof, Heinrich Moser, and Conrad Neher established a wagon factory. Seven years later, the three entrepreneurs partook in a challenge from Switzerland’s Federal Ministry of Defense to create a high-class rifle for the Swiss Army. Four years later, the wagon company won the rifle award complete with a 30,000 order, and changed their name to the Swiss Industrial Company, or SIG. In the 1980s, SIG set its sights on America.
Today, nearly 1 out of every 3 law enforcement professionals in America carries a Sig Sauer Firearm. Sig Sauer provides firearms for many military and government officials, including the US Navy Seals, federal air marshals, department of homeland security, and the US Coast Guard. Sig strives to be a reliable, long-term partner to their customers and recognized as the most innovative, customer-drive company by delivering uncompromising quality, safety, and reliability. Sig Sauer is a highly regarded and universally respected firearms manufacturer, unwilling to surrender to its competition without a fight.
